Mixed fonts

This is a poster which I had created, using both the Smallville Typography and another Gothic font, which I think works well with the theme which I had invented.

I used the burn tool a lot, and the replace colour tool for the hair. I also used the sponge to make it look like they are wearing makeup.

Anyway, the font looks and works really good and well. Very suitable and appropriate for the situation.

More of my own typography

Here are the final two of my postcards. Basically all I've done is messed around with the previous images and distorted them on Photoshop.

They're okay, but I guess I should have done two others.

With the time I've had to do them in, it makes them look rushed.

I prefer my previous ones over these....

Sorry

Sorry, but the video which I have posted may not work due to some problem? Anyway..In the mean time...I have some other videos (in that video row) which are similar to the one which I originally posted...

Here is a video showing you typography from a scene in V for Vendetta.

I think the choice of typography suits this and the way it appears goes well.

It's interesting how this person went about creating it, and how they kept to the speed of the speech.

"The scene in V for Vendetta in which V introduces himself to Eevy, in a long rambling string of alliteration. " (Information off Youtube.)

Another one...

This is another one of my postcards...(done on illustrator would you believe!! :O )

Used different paintbrushes for the background effect... played around to get the letter H looking like that...

Interesting background and it suits the letter...

These are my postcards (not all because i'm working on some more at the moment...

The first row of postcards have been done on photoshop, the second row have been done on Illustrator..(they're not as good because I haven't practiced enough, so they are simple compared to my photoshop stuff.

The Illustrator stuff shows 3D lettering, which is a good effect (took me a while to figure it out..) Different tools have been used (can't remember which ones..)

Comic book style

Here are two comic books (Batman :) )

It has two different types of font
for the title. The first one >>>>
is a lot simple compared to the second cover..

It's good how they have shaped the title into the shape of bat wings.. and the colour draws your attention more to the comic unlike the first one.

Okay, it might have taken them a while to create the font (the first one..) but I just don't like it at all.. It does not appeal to me what so ever and to be honest... I just find it so dull.

The second one is great... I like looking at the way how they've done the font (sad) but it's still really interestingly created. It's similar to the gothic style (refer back to the gothic font which I uploaded onto here..)

My ace work :P

Here are my font styles (based on styles which I have seen.. )

It's illuminated.. One modern ( the Graffiti) and two of them are sort of old style..

I created them on Photoshop, but then transfered them to Illustrator and added different effects on them, which I think has worked well...

Took me a while to draw them on the Mac, and I tried to add a material type of effect for the two (dragon and skull) and then I tried to add a 'brick wall' effect on the graffiti one... You might not be able to see it with it being smaller than the actual size, but you can see where the tile effect is (on the white arrows just incase..)

The Clash stuff

You can see what I mean now when I say The Clash's albums don't stand out as much as The Sex Pistols.. (font wise I mean...)

More calming colours, less bright and very simple.... (This is the only decent one with font like this on that I could find...)

I suppose though, I can't really say whether it IS less outrageous or not compared to The Sex Pistols font (colour), because the type could be faded here.

The Punk Style

Here are some the Punk styles (The Sex Pistols!!) Very different compared to Carson's stuff. Ransom note style, bright colours, (of course... ) Interesting to look at.. I think the style here is better than the Clash's albums covers, because these DO stand out a lot more than the other bands stuff...

This is another style, besides the Gothic style, which I enjoy to use (at home, when I can...) I find it simple to do (unlike the Gothic stuff because it takes time to do...)

David Carson

This is some of David Carson's work. It's okay, and it reminds me of a thriller (the design of it.) He also designed the 80's magazine 'The Face.' It's interesting how he's gone about the way he's included his font with the images....(It also looks Gothic.. which is another reason why I think it's okay.. )

Here's a thriller image (sort of, but you can see the comparison between Carson's work.. the one with the hand... and this work..)

Some Gothic lettering

Here is some gothic lettering which I just enjoy
to use (as writing on my illustration or on a random picture.)

This isn't a really complicated style, like some other styles which I have seen before. There are looaads of curves and shapes in this which makes it interesting for me anyway..( I don't know what you think anyway...but I know I just love the Gothic fonts etc..)
